Third Wave BBQ partners
Privacy notice for partners
Last updated 15 September 2026
This is the notice for businesses we contact about the partner programme, and for businesses that join it. It is written to be read in a minute. The full Third Wave BBQ Perks privacy policy is at /privacy.
To have your details removed
Reply to any email from us with STOP, or email [email protected]. We stop contacting you, add your address to our do-not-contact list so it cannot be re-added by our tools, and delete the rest.
What we collect
- Published business contact details — the trading name, category, address, website, phone and the general or role email address your business itself has published. We do not collect addresses that look personal, and we do not buy lists or use harvesting tools.
- Australian Business Register data — legal name, ABN and GST status, looked up from the public register.
- Our correspondence — the emails between us, and if you join, the details you confirm on the set-up form and your acceptance of the partner terms (name, role, email, time, and the device details a browser sends).
Why
To introduce the programme to nearby independent businesses, to answer your questions, and — if you join — to set up and run your listing, send guests to you, and keep a record of what was agreed.
How long we keep it
- If you do not reply, or say no: 90 days after our last message, then it is deleted from our systems and our mailbox.
- If you ask us to stop: deleted straight away, except the do-not-contact entry.
- If you join: for as long as the partnership runs, then 90 days after it ends. The record of accepted terms is kept longer, with your personal details removed from it.
To see or correct what we hold
Email [email protected] from the business address we contacted. We reply within 30 days with what we hold, and correct or delete it on request. If you are not happy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Third Wave BBQ collects and handles this information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Our emails to businesses are commercial messages under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth); each one identifies the sender and says how to opt out.
